Vintage-ish

this is something I did for a photo class in '93. it was suppossed to be a '50's type glamour pose with my friend karie as "marietta". ( not a very 50's name, however ) it was supossed to be a "found" piece in an old mansion and it originally had smashed glass ( because I accidentally dropped it ) . The frame cost 3 dollars at goodwill and it was shot with zero lighting on my basement floor in cedar falls, Iowa.
The lip prints are mine.

It hangs on karie's wall to this day.

WAR, What Is It good For?

we found this in my parent's garage attic when we moved them last weekend. I place it around summer of 94. It's kinda lame. I think i was trying to be all controversial. i also had an abortion multi media thing with melted barbie babies on it. I don't know what ever happened to that one.

The Super Action Team

when i first moved to Seattle in late 98 i left behind 5 neices and nephews all under age 10. to stay bonded with them, I created "the Super Action team" : a Gijoe knock-off of Spy action figures that i would purchase, dress, make up names and backgrounds for and then photograph and send to my neices and nephews back in MN.

it was great fun for me but they quickly outgrew them. not before i spent a great deal of money, of course. as you can imagine, it was a lot of fun to create these dolls. the good guys were the super action team and their foes were the "Badd Guyzz" - Original huh? I made My neice her own super model/spy gurlz version as well.

they still talk about them 6 years later.

my youngest neice had no interest in them, though. I bought her lots of Bratz before she became all about video games. Kids!
